Who Should Attend:
The AFV Training scheme is designed to provide drivers with the skills and knowledge needed to operate vehicles powered by alternative fuels, such as:
- Electric Vehicles (EVs) – including EV Efficiency Techniques
- Hybrid Vehicles – covered in our Hybrid Vehicle Course
- Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles – essential for Hydrogen Vehicle Training
- Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) or Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) – part of our CNG and LNG Vehicle Safety training
- Biofuel-Powered Vehicles – Included in Sustainable Transport Education
Objectives of the Training Scheme:
1. Safe Operation: Ensure drivers know how to safely operate, charge, or refuel alternatively fuelled vehicles, meeting the highest Alternative Fuel Vehicle Safety standards.
2. Efficiency: Equip drivers with strategies to optimise the efficiency of EVs, hybrid vehicles, and other alternative fuel vehicles, helping businesses reduce fuel consumption.
3. Maintenance Awareness: Emphasise the differences in maintenance requirements and potential hazards, such as battery management in EVs, which is crucial in Fleet Driver AFV Training.
4. Regulatory Compliance: Educate drivers on legal standards and the environmental benefits associated with using alternative fuels, supporting Eco-Friendly Driving Courses for a greener future.
Training Details – Fleet Driver AFV Training in Dewsbury
- Venue: The course can be delivered at the client’s premises or remotely via Zoom or Teams.
- Duration: Approximately 5 hours of training, plus an additional 30 minutes for a rest break.
- Trainer to Driver Ratio: Ranges from a minimum of 1:6 up to a maximum of 1:20.
Fee Structure – AFV Courses & Certification
- Up to 6 attendees: £280
- Up to 12 attendees: £340
- For groups over 12 and up to 20 attendees: £20 per person (with a minimum requirement of 12 participants)
- Certificate Fee: An additional £18 per certificate (this fee is not included in the training cost).
Additional Costs – Flexible AFV Training in Dewsbury
- Evening courses (starting after 4 PM) incur a 6% surcharge.
- Saturday sessions carry a 6% surcharge.
- Sunday sessions incur an 11% surcharge.
